PERFECT SMOKEY EYE

Saturday, January 05, 2013

Smokey eyes have literally rocked the world of beauty from the past few years. I think why people love this look is that it makes their face stand out beautifully! You can do it in many colors, it can be either the traditional black or the chocolate brown, forest green or a deep blue! The choice is all yours!

STEPS:
1. Moisturize your eyelids so the blending part becomes easier.
2. Prime your eyes for the best color pay-off.
3.  Apply a soft kohl pencil on the upper lash-line and and halfway on the lower lash-line and  smudge well with a q-tip.
4. Now that you have got a got base to work on pack on some dark charcoal grey on the lid working up to the crease.
5. Apply a black shadow in the outer-V and blend well.
6. Highlight the inner corner with a light silver shadow, the brow bone and the center of the lid. This will give much more dimension to your eye and will help you achieve the perfect look.
7. Pile on some mascara.
8. Brush away the fall outs with a powder brush. Dab some concealer underneath the eye.
9. Put on a light rosy blush on the apples of your cheeks.
10. Apply a natural nude lipstick to compliment the eyes. Viola!

SECRETS TO THE PERFECT SMOKEY EYE:
1. Smokey eyes can sometimes be all about balance, as seen in the picture above. It's not just the smokey eye, on whole make-up is all about balance. What I mean is when you have bold, dark eye makeup, keep the rest of your face simple. Use a natural nude lipstick. a light rosy pink on cheeks and contour less, so all the attention is diverted to the eyes.
2. Do not forget to highlight the center of your eyelid. This really does make a difference.
3. Pile on as much mascara as possible to achieve a smoldering smokey look but make sure that everything is water proof so you don't end up looking like a panda by the end of the day.
4. Give a twist to your smokey eye by using bright colors as the base and the working them into a smokey eye.
5. Line the lower lash line with a gunmetal grey to make those brown eyes pop!
